Lockdown in rural France...

I am skype-reading Winnie-the-Pooh to my grand-daughters on Sunday mornings. It makes me roar with laughter whereas they remain stolid and focused.

I have to put on all these different voices. And remember which voice otherwise am quickly put right by the stern pair of critics. Initially made the mistake of pitching Piglet too high, so now, having introduced Roo, I have to squeak his lines in a register previously unknown to woman. I reel away from these sessions in desperate need of a gargle.

Anyone who has never read W-t-P, raise your hand. You are seriously missing out. Get to it straightaway.

I went to our Mairie this morning to collect the free (FREE) mask given to every inhabitant of France. As it’s non-washable and should be chucked after one usage...it lasted me the time it took to deliver theirs to my neighbours. Ah well.

I’ve reinstalled Rockstar Raccoon in the garden. He was a pig to make...but am now quite fond of him.

Tomorrow endeth lockdown. Scary indeed.
