Teenagers among others

The sub-teens ensure security at the market

Four more people came to stay. On top of the seven who were already here. And then we squeezed in a further three. Most of them are family. Many of them are teenagers.

I stopped being OCD about my housekeeping skills decades ago, which is just as well as it looks like a conspiracy of lemurs, a pandemonium of parrots, a bloat of hippopotami (you get the picture) hit the house overnight, leaving no corner untouched.

The trick is to consign them to one floor and never visit. They can then spread their belongings over every surface, watch horror films until three a.m., get up mid-afternoon, lay waste to the fridge, lie in the sun...and repeat.

In between, if you manage to get any face-time with them, they are quite entertaining. At least ours are.

The sub-teens watch and take notes.
